Connecticut DCF: Transgender girl ‘Jane Doe’ escapes from therapeutic program
A transgender girl who was being held in solitary confinement at the Connecticut Juvenile Training School has escaped from a therapeutic program she was attending, the state Department of Children and Families said Tuesday. The girl, identified in court documents and public statements only as “Jane Doe” to protect her identity, was attending her first day at the program Tuesday morning, according to an email from DCF spokesman Gary Kleeblatt.
