Report offers guidance for DCF reforms

Report offers guidance for DCF reforms

A new report commissioned after the death of a Fitchburg toddler whose family was under the supervision of welfare officials suggests the state Department of Children and Families look to other states for guidance in reforming the child protection system in Massachusetts.

Note:

Step 1: a kid dies while under their watch because they're imperfect humans who aren't going to save them all...
Step 2: They make a big deal about it, cry about being over worked and under paid...
Step 3: The state throws more money at the problem to fix it.
Step 4: They hire more workers, recruit more foster parents and take more kids.

A bit different than the kinds of reforms that we are calling for.  Don't let them fool you.
