    Still think children under 18 are protected by child protective services when no other form of suitable care taker if present? Probley not, in fact youth may be harmed mentally, physically, lured into human trafficking, drugs and become homeless because of the way there treated and taken care of leaves them no other choices. This one teenager finally speaks loud enough to voice all the hopeless and eager for love soul that are over looked.

    She states;

    " I was in foster care on and off since 15. before that I had a family who never took care of me and I always had to do it on my own. I was forced,tried and barley make it at 16 on my own as an emancipated minor. it was much safer on my own than with ACS. the workers would lie on youth to put them In psychiatric hospitals, make up stories on youth in the reports, lie, manipulate and mentally drain youth. youth are forced into things like prostitution and drugs to be able to support themselves because the state often fails to provide basic necessities and safe accommodations. My worker lied to me about when my court date was and got me thrown out of foster care after I turned 18. I wanted to stay because I wanted to stay in ACS for a while longer and get priority public housing. I am once again homeless and struggling because of the struggle and hardship I face as a young person along with many others my age and under. Right now I started a fundraiser to raise money so I can buy a place to live with no worries "

    Youth who has just turned 18 years old who requests to stay anonymous for fear of her safety due to nature of her situation and statement, is once of many youngsters who face homelessness in this country as an ongoing battle. When will the country start looking into the needs and individual situations of our future leading generations. Perhaps focusing on the personal, educational and giving support for our country's youth can have a major positive impact on the nations future and economy.
